I have been in tea rooms around the country and world. Red Blossom Tea Company has been my best experience ever. Alice and the crew are more than knowledgeable, they set the standard. The tea selections are wonderful and the knowledge they share on how to brew and the selections of pots- incredible. They ship too. You must, must, must visit.

Great place with excellent teas. Their collection of teaware is also lovely. The owner was friendly. I wish they did tea tastings, however the owner did guide us on where we could purchase the same tea brewed nearby.

What an incredible tea showroom! I first discovered this brand during a tasting at Opus One winery. They’ve partnered with renowned Michelin-starred restaurants in the Bay Area, including Benu, Atelier Crenn, and The French Laundry.

Red Blossom Tea in San Francisco's Chinatown is a must-visit for any tea lover. This charming little shop isn't just a place to buy loose leaf tea and teaware; it's a gateway to a world of flavors and aromas. Red Tea Blossom ships their teas to restaurants as well as corporate offices, and after speaking with the owner, I can also confidently say that this place is all about sharing their passion for this ancient beverage. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and were surprised by the tranquility. Unlike the usual Chinatown bustle, the shop offered a calm, inviting atmosphere. The display shelves were lined with an impressive selection of teas, each with a label highlighting its origin, flavor profile, and price. A color-coded system made navigating easy: the red labels indicated their premium collection, while white labels marked the more budget-friendly options. Our exploration began even before we reached the shelves. We were welcomed with a complimentary cup of refreshing cold-brewed osmanthus tea, a delightful introduction to what awaited us. Update 2/2023 Used their online service to send tea set to my friend - it was quick and my friend enjoyed it. If you wish to buy good quality tea and not sure what to get and how to best prep them, this is the place to go. Nothing too fancy but everything is good. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Overall, as far as quality goes, they have great nor even the best quality Chinese teas in town - after trying difference places around the city, I settled down with this place. The price is on the high end - partially because high quality Chinese tea is expensive (contrary to what people think, it’s not uncommon for good quality tea in China is sold for cheap $100 or more for 2 OZ (一两）. Plus they have some markup on the price - not outrageously high markup, but definitely is there. Tasting options are provided with ~$9 per serving. Only one group of customer would be able to enjoy this service, however. Might be some waiting time. The tea can they sell is very good; love it. Also like the fact that they sell small serves or even one-serve bags for you to try stuff out.
